It’s when you combine the three — people with a deep emotional bond
connecting to nature, together — that the real magic happens. So, do we care
about taking stunning photos of your adventure elopement or wedding?
Hell yes. But, more importantly, we care about creating an environment for you
and your partner to have that next-level connection with one of your favorite
PNW places. If we can do that, gorgeous photos will come easily.

Once upon a time, there was a little kid in Idaho who borrowed her mom’s film
camera to take pictures of plants and nature. When she grew up, she moved to the
forests of Washington to study photography and dreamt of being a National
Geographic photojournalist. She sought adventure everywhere she could: by
working in event coordination, doing project management for tech companies,
and even moving to Thailand. But, after searching far and wide, she found her
biggest adventure at home in Portland: pursuing her photography dreams full-time
in the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest.
I know you’ll be shocked (/s) that the kid in this story is me. I started Venture
Ever After (formerly Nadia Joyce Photography) as a side gig in 2010, and in 2020 I
quit my tech job to devote myself to entrepreneurship full-time. If you can’t
tell by now, this business isn’t just about photography. My love for this work
has only grown deeper over the years, into protecting the landscapes that saved me
and nurturing the people who love them as much as I do.

Photography has been a driving force in my life for as long as I can remember. From a young age I would document my family with my dad's film camera, and eventually I got my BFA in photography. I've always enjoyed capturing the moments - big and small - that make up an experience. At my core, I'm an adventurer with a camera-shaped companion to help me save memories worth reliving and sharing. That's why I can't get enough of weddings: They're a celebration of life. Photographing weddings is my way of preserving the things that matter most during our time on Earth.
Aside from photography, I love travel, good food, quality time with friends, and ridiculously long hiking trips. I also always want to talk about my cats, so feel free to ask about them.

Notice photography isn’t on that list. That’s because, in our experience, when you put people and the planet first, good photos come naturally.
From the beginning she made the experience personal to us as a couple and made a genuine connection with us.
Nadia is your wilderness and adventure guide, a jokester when you're feeling camera shy, and someone you can put your trust in to capture memories that you'll have for a lifetime.
We would recommend her to anyone who wants to make their day about spending quality time together making new memories outdoors!

Going into an intimate wedding, we knew our photographer was going to be one of the most important choices we made, and choosing Nadia ended up being the BEST decision we made. Any time we had questions or needed advice, she would get back to us quickly with thorough and thoughtful answers that really proved we were more than just clients to her. She cares like a friend and her attention to detail is astonishing.
She made us both feel comfortable to be ourselves in front of the camera and did an amazing job highlighting our love.
For anybody who is looking into hiring Nadia to capture your special day, this is your sign to DO IT!! You won't find anybody better.

Nadia was the first and absolute best vendor we booked for our wedding. From our first inquiry phone call we felt so good about working with her and knew she had our backs. Wedding planning is so incredibly stressful but we never once stressed about our photos thanks to her attention to detail, thorough planning and constant communication.
Not only is Nadia a great planner and communicator, but she is so incredibly talented behind the lens! We absolutely loved how our photos turned out. They really captured our authentic selves and genuine moments throughout the day. Every moment was captured beautifully and we’ll be obsessing over these photos and the smooth sailing day for the rest of our lives.

She alleviated so much of the stress that I had with developing the plan for the day. She helped me make sure my lipstick wasn’t on my teeth, helped me put on my bracelets, gave me calming words and support, and expertly captured every single shot and way more!
My husband and I felt so completely relaxed and comfortable with her, as she had become not only our photographer but a friend throughout the process. Nadia transformed our beautiful setting into a magical atmosphere that made our photos shine.
I cannot rave enough about the experience we shared with Nadia. The photos she captured of our wedding day will be cherished for many years to come.

When my partner and I decided to elope in Olympic National Park, we knew finding a great photographer was the most important thing on our list.
She went above and beyond in so many ways; including securing our florals and bringing them to us the day of, AND, we had a small table delivered to her home for our private dinner that she brought to us as well. Her customer service is outstanding!
She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and she helped make our day incredible! You can tell that she really loves her job and cares for her clients deeply!
