You’re choosing to get married free of society’s wedding day expectations. So go wild! Choose to spend the entire day in your favorite place, with your favorite person. Wear a fancy outfit, or wear your hiking boots (or both!). Invite your dog instead of your mom’s second cousin. Share your first kiss under the stars instead of under an altar. Commit to only the things that have real meaning to you, and know that I'll be here to help make it happen.

You reach out and we’ll start getting to
know each other right away. I want to
know about your favorite places and
favorite people to help you design a day
you’ll never forget. You’ll make our
partnership official by signing a contract
and paying a retainer. Shortly after, you’ll
get some welcome goodies in the mail,
including a planning guide and a Leave No Trace guide.
Elopements and small weddings take just as much planning as traditional weddings — sometimes more! Let me do some of the legwork for you by scouting possible locations, researching what permits you’ll need, and sending a packing list. We’ll work together throughout your planning phase to make sure you’ll have the true-to-you wedding experience you’re dreaming of.
Put your hiking boots on — it’s your big
day! We’ll follow the custom timeline we
made for you as a loose guide, letting the
day unfold naturally so you can stay
immersed in your experience with each
other. I'll bring an emergency kit filled
with warm layers and first aid to make sure
our adventure is as smooth as possible.
You’ll receive sneak previews within
a week and a half and the full gallery - along with custom album design - within 8 weeks. Your online gallery will include all the final, full resolution photos, as well as GIFs.
I’m Nadia (she/her), and I do wedding photography differently. I’d rather step
out in hiking boots than high heels. I’m more comfortable wearing mud than
makeup. And I’ve always felt more of a kinship with the platinum than the
golden rule, because treating you how you want to be treated is so much more
important than what I want.

You'll get to choose from a select list of organizations doing work for the environment and/or human rights, to which I'll make a $200 donation after you book.
You'll get all your full resolution, edited images in an online gallery where you can view, share, download, and print them any time. You'll also receive a complimentary album design, custom-made just for you.

Talk is cheap, but real change isn’t. That’s why I’m using my business as an agent of change — and you’re a part of that!
When you book with Venture Ever After, $200 will be donated to organizations that align with my — our — values of sustainability and social justice.

I specialize in the Pacific Northwest (anywhere in Oregon or Washington), as well as Idaho and Northern California. Travel to all of these places is included in your package fees. I also travel outside these regions and am available to shoot almost anywhere in the world!
We’ll discuss the kinds of locations you’d like to get married in during our early conversations. Then I’ll get to work researching places we can visit, trails we can hike, and more. If your location is in the PNW, I’ll likely travel there (or will have traveled there previously) to scout. If your location is outside of the PNW (including California or Montana), I’ll do intensive virtual scouting and call on my experiences visiting the region previously to prepare. Both processes are rigorous.
Depending on the destination you’re interested in, there may be different rules about where you can and can’t get married, have a photographer, and other details. This comes as a surprise to a lot of my clients, which is why I’m happy to help you research the permitting needs in your specific elopement location. While it’s my pleasure to be a source of information for you, please remember that the responsibility of getting the correct permits is up to you.
Absolutely not. My foundational belief, and the primary reason I love this work, is that people have a right to get married in the way that feels most meaningful to them. If hiking isn't your jam, and you'd rather have a less physically intensive elopement day, then that's what we should do! While many of the folks I work with opt for some sort of outdoorsy experience (e.g. hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, etc), many choose something more relaxed, like a vow exchange and picnic, or an intimate ceremony followed by exploring urban parks, or officially getting married at a small venue and then having an intimate dinner with their friends and family at a local restaurant.
The possibilities are endless, and my ultimate goal is for you to have an experience that's true-to-you and helps you commemorate one of the most memorable days of your lives together.
My associate, Cassidy, and I are both registered with the Universal Life Church in Oregon and Washington (and most other states in the U.S.). This means we can legally sign as your officiant on your marriage license. I love offering this service because it allows you to keep your elopement intimate. You’ll exchange vows and perform any other poetic parts of the ceremony yourself or with loved ones, and from behind the camera we can chime in with the official pronouncements to make your marriage legal. This service is included in every elopement package.
Absolutely. Social justice is a huge part of the Venture Ever After brand, and as a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I’d never dream of turning away a couple because of their identity. All people in love are welcome here.
If you’ve been looking for a sign that it’s ok to ditch societal standards and elope in
the Pacific Northwest, this is it. Ready to plan the adventure to top all adventures?

Working with/through Venture Ever After was a great experience, from start to finish.
[Nadia] is so generous with the amount of research she does for you...She helped make the whole process easy--and we live across the country.
Nadia is the nicest person you'll ever meet, and really cares about capturing the authenticity of the moments of your wedding/elopement day.
Nadia, thank you so much for your generosity, knowledge, patience, flexibility, kindness, craft, and love. You will be my highest recommendation for the rest of my life.

[Nadia] was so knowledgeable and did a TON of legwork planning our timeline to best capture the moments we wanted in the lighting we needed, recommending a variety of locations for some private moments as a couple and group activities with our family, and keeping us grounded and calm throughout the entire process.
She constantly reminded us that each moment was for us and encouraged us to revel in all of the details.
She has a knack for keeping wedding day energy light and helping her clients feel natural in front of the camera. I would recommend Nadia at Venture Ever After to everyone planning an elopement, wedding, or adventure in the PNW.

On a day that could have felt stressful, she made us feel completely safe in her hands. We always knew what was coming next, never felt rushed, and never felt like we were “performing” for the camera - we were simply living our day.
What stood out the most was how genuine the entire day felt. The laughs, the conversation, the way she drew real emotion out of us - nothing felt forced or staged. Feeling natural was so important to us, and her style absolutely delivered. The day stayed exactly what we wanted it to be: easy, intimate, and centered on love.
We truly cannot recommend Nadia enough. If you’re looking for someone who is not only talented, but also grounding, thoughtful, and a joy to be around - she is your person.

When my partner and I decided to elope in Olympic National Park, we knew finding a great photographer was the most important thing on our list.
She went above and beyond in so many ways; including securing our florals and bringing them to us the day of, AND, we had a small table delivered to her home for our private dinner that she brought to us as well. Her customer service is outstanding!
She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and she helped make our day incredible! You can tell that she really loves her job and cares for her clients deeply!

Her photography style is grounded, emotionally rich, and documentary in nature. We didn’t want anything overly staged or stiff. We wanted to feel like ourselves, to laugh, explore, and be present. Nadia created the space for exactly that.
Both my husband and I are naturally shy and not super comfortable being the center of attention, so having a photographer we could genuinely relax around was incredibly important. From our very first conversation, Nadia felt like a calming, supportive guide, down-to-earth, thoughtful, and completely attuned to our energy. She didn’t just capture the events of the day, she told our story.
