WEDDING DAY

ELOPEMENt and Adventure WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERs SERVING THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST + BEYOND

IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS, YOU WRITE THE WEDDING RULES. AND WE'RE HERE TO HELP MAKE IT AN EXPERIENCE YOU’LL REMEMBER FOR A LIFETIME.

Who says?

Who says an elopement has to take place at the courthouse?
Who says a small guest list makes your wedding any less special?
Who says you have to be young, white, or straight to be celebrated?
Who says your wedding has to be anything other than what you want?

You’re choosing to get married free of society’s wedding day expectations. So go wild! Choose to spend the entire day in your favorite place, with your favorite person. Wear a fancy outfit, or wear your hiking boots (or both!). Invite your dog instead of your mom’s second cousin. Share your first kiss under the stars instead of under an altar. Commit to only the things that have real meaning to you, and know that we'll be here to help make it happen.

INQUIRE ABOUT YOUr celebration

“we walked away feeling like we'd just spent hours with a very good friend doing what we love (playing in the outdoors)! The icing on the cake was when we received our gallery and were blown away by how well Nadia captured our joy, love, and honest to goodness goofiness as a couple.”
– Whitney

THE EXPERIENCE

BONDING

You reach out and we’ll start getting to
know each other right away. We want to
know about your favorite places and
favorite people to help you design a day
you’ll never forget. You’ll make our
partnership official by signing a contract
and paying a retainer. Shortly after, you’ll
get some welcome goodies in the mail,
including a planning guide and a Leave No Trace guide.

PLANNING

Elopements and small weddings take just as much planning as traditional weddings — sometimes more! Let us do some of the legwork for you by scouting possible locations, researching what permits you’ll need, and sending a packing list. We’ll work together throughout your planning phase to make sure you’ll have the true-to-you wedding experience you’re dreaming of.

ADVENTURING

Put your hiking boots on — it’s your big
day! We’ll follow the custom timeline we
made for you as a loose guide, letting the
day unfold naturally so you can stay
immersed in your experience with each
other. We’ll bring an emergency kit filled
with warm layers and first aid to make sure
our adventure is as smooth as possible.

DELIVERY

You’ll receive sneak previews within
a week and a half and the full gallery - along with custom album design - within 8 weeks. Your online gallery will include all the final, full resolution photos, as well as GIFs.

MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

I’m Nadia (she/her), and I do wedding photography differently. I’d rather step
out in hiking boots than high heels. I’m more comfortable wearing mud than
makeup. And I’ve always felt more of a kinship with the platinum than the
golden rule, because treating you how you want to be treated is so much more
important than what I want.

ANY QUESTIONS?

where do you travel?

+

We specialize in the Pacific Northwest (anywhere in Oregon or Washington), as well as Idaho and Northern California. Travel to all of these places is included in your package fees. We also travel outside these regions and are available to shoot almost anywhere in the world!

<< GO BACK

ANY QUESTIONS?

how does location scouting + Permitting work?

+

We’ll discuss the kinds of locations you’d like to get married in during our early conversations. Then I’ll get to work researching places we can visit, trails we can hike, and more. If your location is in the PNW, I’ll likely travel there (or will have traveled there previously) to scout. If your location is outside of the PNW (including California or Montana), I’ll do intensive virtual scouting and call on my experiences visiting the region previously to prepare. Both processes are rigorous.

Depending on the destination you’re interested in, there may be different rules about where you can and can’t get married, have a photographer, and other details. This comes as a surprise to a lot of my clients, which is why I’m happy to help you research the permitting needs in your specific elopement location. While it’s my pleasure to be a source of information for you, please remember that the responsibility of getting the correct permits is up to you.

ANY QUESTIONS?

Do we have to choose a hiking elopement to work with you?

+

Absolutely not. My foundational belief, and the primary reason I love this work, is that people have a right to get married in the way that feels most meaningful to them. If hiking isn't your jam, and you'd rather have a less physically intensive elopement day, then that's what we should do! While many of the folks I work with opt for some sort of outdoorsy experience (e.g. hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, etc), many choose something more relaxed, like a vow exchange and picnic, or an intimate ceremony followed by exploring urban parks, or officially getting married at a small venue and then having an intimate dinner with their friends and family at a local restaurant.

The possibilities are endless, and my ultimate goal is for you to have an experience that's true-to-you and helps you commemorate one of the most memorable days of your lives together.

<< GO BACK

ANY QUESTIONS?

can you officate my wedding?

+

Cassidy and I are registered with the Universal Life Church in Oregon and Washington (and most other states in the U.S.). This means we can legally sign as your officiant on your marriage license. I love offering this service because it allows you to keep your elopement intimate. You’ll exchange vows and perform any other poetic parts of the ceremony yourself or with loved ones, and from behind the camera we can chime in with the official pronouncements to make your marriage legal. This service is included in every elopement package.

<< GO BACK

ANY QUESTIONS?

so you work with lgbtq+ couples?

+

Absolutely. Social justice is a huge part of the Venture Ever After brand, and as a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I’d never dream of turning away a couple because of their identity. All people in love are welcome here.

If you’ve been looking for a sign that it’s ok to ditch societal standards and elope in
the Pacific Northwest, this is it. Ready to plan the adventure to top all adventures?

INQUIRE ABOUT YOUR ELOPEMENT

On our wedding day, Nadia took the reins and gently guided us through the day with compassion and grace.

[Nadia] was so knowledgeable and did a TON of legwork planning our timeline to best capture the moments we wanted in the lighting we needed, recommending a variety of locations for some private moments as a couple and group activities with our family, and keeping us grounded and calm throughout the entire process.

She constantly reminded us that each moment was for us and encouraged us to revel in all of the details.

She has a knack for keeping wedding day energy light and helping her clients feel natural in front of the camera. I would recommend Nadia at Venture Ever After to everyone planning an elopement, wedding, or adventure in the PNW.

-M + B

we needed someone to help us figure out where to get started, what to look forward to, and to guide us along the way.

We would 100% recommend Nadia, Cassidy, and Venture Ever After for anyone looking to get married in the PNW.

We wanted something simple and easy, but even that came with some stressors. Nadia and Cassidy provided us with a detailed itinerary for the day and constant communication. On my elopement day we were so at ease. The photos were beautiful and everything we ever wanted. I appreciate being able to share those memories with the friends and family who could not come. Although Nadia and Cassidy were hired for photos and to officiate the ceremony, they helped with so much more. From flower shop recommendations, hotel stay suggestions, restaurants, even ceremony ideas.

We are forever grateful!

If you’re looking for an elopement photographer in the PNW, Nadia is simply the best! (Take it from me because I’m actually an elopement photographer on the east coast!)

When my partner and I decided to elope in Olympic National Park, we knew finding a great photographer was the most important thing on our list.

She went above and beyond in so many ways; including securing our florals and bringing them to us the day of, AND, we had a small table delivered to her home for our private dinner that she brought to us as well. Her customer service is outstanding!

She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and she helped make our day incredible! You can tell that she really loves her job and cares for her clients deeply!

-L + J

I couldn't imagine my wedding day to be anything other than what it was, and so much of that is credited to Nadia's expertise.

Working with/through Venture Ever After was a great experience, from start to finish.

[Nadia] is so generous with the amount of research she does for you...She helped make the whole process easy--and we live across the country.

Nadia is the nicest person you'll ever meet, and really cares about capturing the authenticity of the moments of your wedding/elopement day.

Nadia, thank you so much for your generosity, knowledge, patience, flexibility, kindness, craft, and love. You will be my highest recommendation for the rest of my life.

-K + C

When we started wedding planning we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Not only were we doing an elopement but we were traveling over 1,000 miles to do so.

We had our first phone meeting with Nadia in the early stages of planning and she made us both feel so comfortable about our vision and expectations. She did so much scouting at our dream location which was helpful because we weren’t going to be able to see it before the wedding.

Nadia is so warm and makes you feel like you have been life long best friends. She is also extremely professional and exceptional at her craft. She braved the freezing cold on top of a mountain with us. She brought gloves with warmers for me and even extra blankets. She is so thoughtful. She really saved the day and came up with great ideas for new plans when the weather didn't cooperate. I would and have recommended her to all of my friends.
